As the contractor for the 21 Station Road project in London we have expertly converted a former commercial building into 46 upscale apartments over six floors, spanning 2128m2 in the serene Barnet countryside, close to New Barnet railway station. The original plan to refurbish the building into 48 luxury apartments evolved into a more ambitious project featuring one and two-bedroom units with ensuite bathrooms, balconies offering expansive vistas, and high-end finishes throughout. Key features include allocated parking, an outdoor stair lift for accessibility, and secure bicycle storage. The addition of two floors to the existing structure allowed for the creation of spacious penthouse suites, enhancing the luxury quotient of the development. Materialwise, we retained the original London stock brick while incorporating glass elements for a modern touch. The upper floors, designed in a Mansard style with grey panel cladding and setback balcony balustrades, add a distinctive architectural element. Collaborating closely with planning authorities, we navigated various challenges, particularly in planning and layout adjustments, ensuring compliance with council conditions while striving to meet the high standards set by our client and the community. The project, still progressing with interior work, represents our commitment to blending luxury, functionality, and environmental harmony.
